Boat Race 2016 : Oxford vs. Cambridge – A fight dating back to 1829 (a whole century before the time from which OUR LATEST COLLECTION took inspiration) and a match that still draws in the interest of millions from all over the world. However, if you’re lucky enough to be by the river Thames this coming Easter Sunday then you’ll want know the best viewing points to watch the battle unfold, and it just so happens that nine times out of ten the location is going to involve a Great British institution known as ‘The Pub’. So let’s take a closer look at the watering holes at key point of the course!
AT THE START
If you’re north of the river then you’ll want to check out THE CRABTREE for an awesome barbecue/hog roast with live music playing all day! If you’re south of the river then why not try THE DUKE’S HEAD? A seasoned veteran in hosting fun-filled days dedicated to live music and DJs with big screens so you can get close to the action wherever they are on the Boat Race 2016 course.
HALFWAY POINT
RUTLAND ARMS is a key destination for anyone north of the river with a desire for good old traditional pub fare. Its prime location makes it a popular destination and coupled with great pub food this venue will be busy so get there early. On the flip side over on the south of the river there’s the glorious BULL’S HEAD, renowned for its live jazz that will be playing all the way up to the start of the Boat Race 2016!
THE FINISHING LINE
THE SHIP is your choice of destination if you want a view of the Boat Race 2016 finishing line, and throughout the day there’s a barbecue and in the evening live DJs to keep the crowd entertained.
