A battery life varies usually from two to three years depending on the type of the watch, its dimensions and the amount of energy required by the different functions.

For instance, a chronograph will have a higher energy consumption than a watch indicating the hours and minutes only.

Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly in order for it to work perfectly.

Obviously, we cannot indicate the intervals for such servicing, given that it depends entirely on the model, climate and the care taken by the watch’s owner.

As a general rule, it is between 3 and 4 years, depending on the use of the watch.

WT Author watches are water resistant to 10 ATM as indicated on the case back.

The Nº 1973 collection is water resistant to 20 ATM.

The water resistance rating of a watch does not take into account the ability of the watch to stay water resistant as of ages.

Therefore, the water resistance of a watch cannot permanently be guaranteed.

It may be affected by ageing of gaskets or by accidental shock to the crown or pusher.

Do not under any circumstances open the watch by yourself.

Make sure not to activate the time setting crown and/or pushers while the watch is under water and make sure that the crown has been pushed in or screwed down.

External influences may affect the precision of our movements.

Swiss made Ronda 513S quartz movements can lead to variations of between -0.5 and +0.7 seconds per day.

Miyota Nº 9015 and Nº 8217 automatic movements can lead to variations of between -10 and +30 seconds per day with a running time more than 42 hours.

Due to the nature of this natural product, dependent on use it will deteriorate over time.

If you do spot an issue with the strap we would be more than happy to help resolve it for you.

Any malfunction during the warranty period of your watch will be repaired free of charge on presentation of the warranty certificate, which must be fully completed and signed by the authorised WT Author retailer, showing the model number of the watch and date of purchase.

Any damage resulting from inappropriate use is specifically excluded from the warranty, as are the battery, strap or bracelet and lens.

Every official WT Author representative will be glad to provide you with a catalogue.

Alternatively, you may request it by completing the form in the Contact Section and we will gladly send it to you.
