The Ronda Nº 513S calibre is an analogue quartz movement, assembled in Switzerland.
It is produced in-house by high-speed automatic assembly lines and undergoes strict quality checks to ensure long-lasting design.
The component includes repairable metal clockwork with a very powerful stepper motor and fixed pulse.
With its extra-low carbon content and added Molybdenum, type 316L stainless steel is incredibly strong and extremely resistant to corrosion from seawater or acidic liquids.
It’s also magnetic resistant, unlike the general-use stainless steel grade of 201 or 304L.
We select 316L as the choice of material to provide affordable, unique British made watches without ever having to compromise on quality.
Every watch is built with British and imported parts and assembled in our workshop.

When it comes to our watches, we always want to hear what our followers think.
Received wisdom in the watch world is that spending £350 on a quartz watch is a bit crazy. On this occasion that would be very very wrong. This is an item far greater than the sum of its parts. The details, fit and finish on the watch definitely justify the price tag. After purchasing the watch at the Bath and West show I have worn it every day for the last 6 months and apart from the strap (which has aged magnificently) you wouldn’t be able to tell. The small details such as the ribbing around the case, red crown and the large numerals really make the watch stand out as different before you even start on the trench watch styling. The strap is frankly a work of art. For a start it’s buffalo… Not something you see every day. When it arrived it was a very stiff, pale tan and it did wonder how it would age. I will admit to cheating here, I did for the first few days use Chamberlains leather milk on the strap which sped up the process a bit. Since then the strap has developed a great lustre and aged so well it’s nearly black in some places. After about a week it was perfectly formed to my wrist. It’s worth noting that a) the strap is riveted, it’s going nowhere without a trip to the WT Author workshop, b) it’s thick (especially at the buckle) , which is great for longevity, less great for fitting under a shirt. It can just about slide under a cuff of a regular fit shirt but will more often than not catch. The movement hasn’t missed a beat since it arrived, the sapphire coated mineral lens has withstood a few heavy knocks with door handles etc and the movement on the standout red crown is smooth and precise. All that before you even start on the exclusivity of the piece. In short, a watch and company so good I almost immediately pre ordered their new model the 1968… And I doubt that will be the last!
