After You’ve Ordered

WT Author watches are built-to-order and dispatched in 10 working days by our workshop in Shropshire, UK. Each product is shipped with free worldwide shipping, tracked and insured via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Don’t panic if you make any mistakes during your order, you can correct any input errors right up until you confirm payment. Once you’re happy everything is correct and you’ve submitted an order You’ll then receive an email headed ‘Your WT Author order receipt’ recognising receipt of your order. We will then send a further email headed ‘Order Confirmation’. This second email also lets you know how your products will be delivered to you. If we have to cancel all or part of your order for any reason, we will email you to let you know.

Sometimes we have to hold our hands up and admit we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered). In this instance, we may have to cancel your order at any time, even if you have received your Order Confirmation email, and you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.

Please send us a brief message to state when the watch has been / is being sent making sure the product is insured and traceable, and suitably protected for transit. We cannot be held responsible for products that do not reach us, or reach us broken by the shipping solution.

When the watch service is completed we will ship it back to you for free.

We aim to return the watch back to you within 15 working days. Please note this time may increase at busy times of the year (leading up to Christmas).

If breakages occur to your item in our possession then it will be replaced by a like-for-like product.

Returns / Cancellations / Repairs & Delivery

If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 14 days after delivery.

You may also use the cancellation form template found below, but it is not obligatory.

We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is a result of any unnecessary handling by you.

We will always endeavor to try and repair your watch to the same specification as when it was bought. However, due to the limited numbers of each watch and their components, it is not always possible to replace exact parts. We will therefore repair or replace parts as close as we can to the original watch.

If a brand new watch is damaged or lost in transit, we will aim to replace it with the same watch, but with a new caseback number.

If a serviced or repaired watch is damaged or lost in transit, we will aim to replace it with the same watch, but with a new caseback number, or a similar watch with the equivalent value.

Right to Cancel

Following The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them. You are entitled to a refund as long as you inform us of your decision to cancel within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery of the goods. You can examine the goods as you would in a shop but to obtain a full refund you must not start using them. The goods must be in an ‘as new’ condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire physical possession of the goods.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this order by a clear statement, before returning the goods to us (email, phone or letter) You may use the below model cancellation form as a guide, but it is not obligatory.

You can also cancel your order via the Support facility on the HOME PAGE, emailing WORKSHOP@WTAUTHOR.COM or by phoning us on 0333 006 2496 with your order reference number and delivery details to hand. We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation by email without delay.

Effects Of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than – 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or (if earlier) 14 days after the day you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a reimbursement.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods, and it will be your responsibility to ensure the goods are adequately insured, and proof of postage is obtained, as should the goods be lost, stolen or damaged, it would be your responsibility up until us receiving the goods.

You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

The goods must be returned in a saleable condition. Any marks of wear and tear, or damage will result in no refund been given, or us making a deduction for diminishing the value.

Faulty Goods

It’s bad enough that your product develops a fault, so we try to make our returns or repair service as painless as possible.

We will offer either a repair, exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of purchase (or delivery or installation). If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period we will offer you a prompt repair service (This normally takes up to 10 working days) In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault.

For a refund or exchange, the product must be in otherwise ”as new” condition, complete with any accessories.

If a fault occurs while you are abroad, please contact us to discuss how we can assist.

We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

Second Hand Sales

Unfortunately we are unable to honour warranties on items bought outside of our own channels (exhibitions, online store, Amazon and Etsy).

Simply put, we cannot guarantee that the product hasn’t been altered or tampered with by a previous party if the product has been purchased second hand.

It is recommended to buy from us directly.
