Our amazing followers, we trust this message finds you well, and you are all enjoying your summer. We’ve spent our time travelling around the UK with W. T. Author’s growing watch collection, showcasing our products to both new admirers and old. And, you’ll also be pleased to know we have placed the final touches to September’s release, ‘No. 1934’ – this year inspired by the widespread access to literature from the 1930’s. As always, YOU will be the first in the know and a very special newsletter will be reaching you well in advance of anybody else. Expect to receive something from us this time next month… until then we have a launch to prepare!

REFLECTING ON THE PAST
A lot has changed since our last post, and now we have a moment to sit and reflect on what’s been achieved – we couldn’t be happier with the ground that’s been made in what some might say are turbulent times.

To kick off – our first-ever show at Britain’s best vintage cycling festival was a HUGE success. Partnered by our better halves, we descended onto EROICA BRITANNIA at Bakewell Showground and in case you haven’t been before, we truly recommend you do. We met some great folk whilst working throughout the days (and whilst we played in our evenings), and typically whilst the weather attempted to dampen our spirits we will be going back for next year’s celebrations (bigger and better, as is our philosophy!)

With little time to rest, we setup our second show at Spirit of Summer at London Olympia and once again made a truly unexpected impact with our current showroom. ‘NO. 1929’ was allowed to take the limelight one final time before we hit the road again this October…

SO, LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
To match the standards of this year’s watch, we feel a sense of pride and feeling of anticipation in planning the busiest 4 months in our history. We feel as though we are hitting our stride; armed with a STORE that truly reflects our approach and attending six shows across the year – all while balancing our interests in the world of design. We need to thank our partners Sarah and Rebecca in keeping us sane, for their patience and encouragement, and even agreeing to be part of our wild adventure!

And we need to thank you as without our followers all of this wouldn’t exist. And although we often encounter occasions that truly test us… it is the small notes and acknowledgements that we get from you at a personal level that really keep us going and makes it all worthwhile.
Needless to say, we’re not going anywhere. Approaching a third of the way in our history of the wristwatch who’s to say what will come next?
We can tell you one thing: it is the best W. T. Author yet!

NOT TO WISH YOUR SUMMER AWAY BUT…
The autumn/winter calendar is made up of three key events for us and we’d love to see you all. Of course, these shows charge an entrance fee so if anybody would like free tickets to the show, give us a shout to add you to the list and see what we can do (we can’t make any promises but we usually end up with a surplus, and so it would be a shame to see these go to waste).
So here are those dates:
Spirit of Christmas
31 October – 6 November
Country Living Christmas Fair, London
9-13 November
Country Living Christmas Fair, Harrogate
1-4 December
Until then, see you in September.
