Just received two from their latest collection and they don’t disappoint the quality of these watches are amazing and the packing is second to none and add to the whole experience.
If your looking for a unique watch not like anything else at an affordable price WT Author is the brand to go with.

I have just received two watches 1973 and 1940 and I am absolutely delighted with build quality and looks of them , but I would add the whole experience of getting the watches was brilliant , I had a chat with Jon for over 30 minutes where we talked about the watches and described what involved before going with the ones I chose, Sarah was great sorting out the invoices and delivery and there is an superb instructions/how to on their web site telling things like how to change the strap , set the time etc.

Just received my No. 1953 watch, it’s absolutely gorgeous and the workmanship is fabulous, the fact that you can personalise the serial number is a lovely touch. WT Author are lovely to work with, always on hand for any questions/queries they certainly don’t disappoint. All in all one very happy customer!

First found this brand at a stand at the London Classic car show, chatted with Sam who was very helpful and spent as much time as needed talking through the brand and the different chapters, I eventually chose the 1940 in cream which arrived today, I’m well chuffed 😊

Great company to deal with, despite having loads of customers they always treat you as if you are their only one and nothing is too much trouble.
Don’t go and buy a “regular” watch, look at what they have firs, you won’t be disappointed!

I bought my husband one of your watches for his 50th birthday. I was lucky to get for Christmas the Emmeline with both the metal and also the leather strap. It is beautiful - just perfect and I love the versatility of the different straps.

I have followed W. T. Author watches from the first crowd funding days, I have never been disappointed in the watches produced. I wanted a watch that was different to the run of the mill, didn't break the bank and was eminently usable. I have a model of every edition and didn't realise I was a watch collector until I bought the first 1905.
Support British made goods, buy a quality limited edition watch from W. T. Author today! (but make sure I've bought mine before they sell out...)

Like the other reviewers, I couldn't stop at one W. T. Author watch, my first being the 1934 blue automatic, quickly followed by the 1914 in black and more recently the 1929 in white.
The concept of designing watches around historical moments and of course the tie in of getting a new book chapter with each watch really appeals to me. I guess we are tied in to 13 watches and I hope they are all as individual and classy as the existing ones.
I live in US and the guys at W. T. Author have been brilliant in ensuring my watches reach me quickly and in great condition.
My favorite and most commented on is my black 1914. Love that watch!!

I have a real love of watches and like to think I am a bit of a collector. From common Casio's to rarer Breitling's I like to try and keep in the loop with new releases.

W.T. Author caught my eye, with the fact that they are assembled in Britain and also seem to be released in a very limited number.

(So far) I have two of the W.T. Author watches. The No. 1914 Blue Trench Watch and also the No. 1934 Blue Dress Watch with the Automatic movement. Both are absolutely stunning and more often than not get admiring comments from passers by.

The care and attention to detail that the guys at W.T. Author take is obvious to see. From the superb packaging that they come in, the hand stitched leather straps, to the hand written number card and service booklet.

You can also sense when owning one of these timepieces that you have a real unique item and one that is special to you. I was able to choose two different numbered editions and knowing that they're the only ones in the world like that is very special, especially in the watch industry.

I also really like the fact that they only release one design a year, it keeps me wondering what they might have in store for us in the future. If my current watches are anything to go by then I can't wait to see the next one.

I am the very proud owner of all the blue models and supporter of the brand since the first day. There is something about W.T. Author that you will never find in any brand alike, they tell a story and unfold the history of watchmaking and the world. That, and the fact that they will only create 13 limited models, makes it quite a special timepiece to wear.

The make is very high quality, all models feel very solid and sturdy. The straps are made of very strong leather and give the pieces an adventurous and original look. The battery life is very long, actually my 1905 is still running on the same power as it did when it first arrived, where the 1914 needed to have it's battery changed only once.

Every year Sam and Jon come up with a new great concept, connected to a specific year in history only one per decade, telling a unique story.
The anticipation that starts every year at the end of summer and ends around half november - december for me is hard to describe, I am always eager to find out what they come up with next and every time they exceed my expectations.

Came across WTAuthor at Duxford this September whilst perusing the many exhibitor stalls. At a glance I thought it was just another peddler of watches as I walked past. What made me stop was that I didn’t recognise the Brand and when I saw the prices I was I intrigued as opposed to put off.There was no hard sell and Sam introduced himself and the story and concept behind the watches. The more I listened the more I felt that was looking at a product that represented or reflected on my personality.It was unique, a limited edition offering, built to order with a fascinating storyboard of period designs and a British company. I loved the presentation, the styling, the build quality and I felt Sam was offering a genuine product backed by a design team that believed in their product.Sam seemed genuinely interested in spending time answering all my questions knowing there probably wouldn’t be sale there and then which reassured me further. It was like to talking to a friend than a sales person.The result was a decision to purchase a 1940 automatic movement online a few weeks later. I keep in touch with Sam via WT Arthur’s FB Page and love the personal touch.The watch was delivered beautifully presented with a hand written note which made me feel very valued as a customer which at this time further reinforces the values and customer service of this company.Thank you for a great watch and great service to date.

I got the 1940 green face model as a birthday gift from my wife, it's an absolutely stunning watch. Ive been wearing it for a few weeks now and it has really settled on the wrist well, the strap is so comfortable.I love the packaging that the watch came in with all the extra items in the box, WTAuthor really do go that extra mile. Can't wait to own another.

I consider myself a bit of a watch-a-holic. Not collecting the - so to say - top-end makes, but searching for breathtaking timepieces at a reasonable price. For me W.T Author clearly stands out. Jon and Sam tell and amazing story by releasing only thirteen models in thirteen years covering the history of the wristwatch, one out of each decade starting with 1905.Every model has its own remarkable look and feel, but still they all stay within the brand WT Author. The signature on the 12, the red crown, the missing numbers on the dial.The make is very high quality, all models feel very solid and sturdy. The straps are made of very strong leather and give the pieces an adventurous and original look. The battery life is very long, actually my 1905 is still running on the same power as it did when it first arrived, where the 1914 needed to have it's battery changed only once.And they are clearly full of surprises, creating the first automatic with 1929 black and adding a very limited (and sold out) 25 pieces green version with the 1934. Can't wait what they come up with in the 1940 model.This brand is much more than just a wristwatch making company! They are true storytellers with a sharp eye on high quality of details and a tremendous vision on how a beautiful time piece has to be made.Owning every model, I can say I love to wear them all and no matter which one is on my wrist, I always get compliments about it. Giving me the wonderful opportunity to re-tell the story of W.T. Author.

I've had my 1905 edition watch now over a year. It's getting better with age! Such a talking piece around any table and looks superb. The packaging and detail that goes into the watch are second go none. I want another already! Keep it up :)

My Dad is in love with his new 1905 tan watch, bought for his recent 60th birthday. Not only did he love the style but he was impressed that the straps are hand made, with a good amount of British quality craftsmanship that you'd hope for from any top end watch company. Service was second to none and watch despatched within a day of ordering, what more could I ask for, thank you to the guys at W.T.Author, I am one happy customer and so is my Pops!
